Terms and conditions.

These terms are the agreement between you and CDL Greenlight ("we", "us"). They apply when you use this website, its free practice or the paid course. By using the site or buying the course you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

1. What CDL Greenlight is

CDL Greenlight is an online course that prepares you for the written knowledge tests of the United States commercial driver license. Independent practice material based on the commercial driver manual. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any state licensing agency, AAMVA or the FMCSA.

The course is study material. It is not Entry-Level Driver Training under 49 CFR part 380, it is not behind-the-wheel instruction, and it does not replace your state's commercial driver manual. Rules, fees, passing scores and the number of questions differ between states and change over time. Where the course and your state's current manual or licensing agency disagree, the manual and the agency are right. Check your state's requirements before you book a test.

We do not promise that you will pass; the pass guarantee in section 6 is a refund promise, not a promise of a result.

2. Who may buy

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You buy the course for your own study. If an employer or school buys access for you, these terms apply to you as the learner as well.

3. Price and payment

USD 99 buys personal access to the course. One payment for every test in the course. No subscription, no time limit on access. This is one payment, with no recurring charge. Taxes that apply to your purchase are shown at checkout before you pay.

Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment processor, at the moment you complete checkout. We do not receive or store your full card number. The contract is concluded when the payment succeeds and the course opens.

4. Access

Checkout requires a valid email address. Keep your receipt and use the same email to restore access. Access is delivered in the browser right after payment; nothing is shipped. Your learning progress is saved on your device, not in an online account. Passed mock exams are recorded with your purchase, so that record follows you to a new device.

You need a current browser and an internet connection. We work to keep the course available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; maintenance, faults at our providers or events outside our control can interrupt it. If we retire the product, we will give purchasers at least 90 days' notice by email.

5. Your license and what you may not do

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the course for your own test preparation. All questions, explanations, lessons, recordings, drills, graphics, films and software are our property or that of our licensors and are protected by copyright.

You may not resell, share access to or republish the paid material; copy, record, scrape or download it in bulk; use it to build or train another product or model; share your access link or let another person study on your purchase; or interfere with the site, its security or its measurement of mock exams. We may suspend or end access associated with a refunded, reversed or disputed payment, or misuse of the service.

6. Pass guarantee

Pass 3 full-length mock exams of a test in the course, at a pace of at least 15 seconds a question. If you then fail that official test, send us the official result showing your name within 30 days of the test and we refund the full price.

The conditions in full:

• Before taking the official test, you passed at least 3 mock exams of that same test in the course. A mock is passed when it has the full number of questions of that test, its score reaches the passing score shown on it, and you took at least 15 seconds a question on average, counted from the moment the course opened the mock to the moment you submitted it. The mocks may be passed on the same day. The course saves every mock you finish with your purchase: the test, the date and time, the score and whether it counts as passed. That saved record is what counts, and only passes saved before the official test count. Each mock is saved once; sending the same mock again changes nothing.
• You send us the official result of the failed test. It must show your name and that you did not pass; its date counts for the time limit.
• Your claim reaches us within 30 days of the date of the failed test, by email to support@cdlgreenlight.com from the address used for the purchase.

On a valid claim we refund the full price you paid to the original payment method, normally within 10 business days of receiving the complete claim, and access to the course ends. There is one refund per purchase, and the result must be your own. A purchase that was already refunded, reversed or disputed has nothing left to refund. We may refuse a claim that rests on an altered document or on mock exams not taken by the purchaser.

7. Refunds

The course is digital content that is made available to you in full immediately after payment, at your request. For that reason there is no cooling-off period and no refund for a change of mind once the course has opened. A refund after a failed test follows the pass guarantee above. If you were charged twice or by mistake, write to us and we refund that charge. These terms do not limit statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.

If you believe a charge is wrong, write to us before you dispute it with your bank; we can usually resolve it faster.

8. Accuracy and corrections

We write and check the material with care and trace answers to the commercial driver manual, but we do not warrant that every item is free of error or current for every state on every day. If you find a mistake, tell us; confirmed corrections are published on the corrections page. The course teaches test knowledge. It does not make you fit to drive a commercial vehicle and is no substitute for training, inspection or the judgment of a qualified driver.

9. Disclaimer and limit of liability

Except as stated in these terms, the site and the course are provided as they are and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost earnings, test fees, travel or retest costs, or for the outcome of any official test, and our total liability arising from the course or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Privacy

How we use personal information is described in the privacy notice, which is part of these terms.

11. Changes

We may improve, extend or correct the course at any time. We may change these terms for future purchases; the version in force on the day you bought applies to your purchase, unless a change is required by law or is to your advantage. The effective date at the top shows the current version.

12. Disputes

Before any formal step, write to us and give us 30 days to resolve the matter. If a provision of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the course.
